About Miss Julie

Miss Julie has over ten years experience teaching dance to dancers of all ages, from 18 months to 18 years. Julie was an instructor at the Southern New Jersey Academy of Performing Arts and also taught at local schools and camps in the Philadelphia area. In Los Angeles, she both taught and ran the Culver City location of Creation Station Dance and also taught through Got Dance LA and Baby Steps Dance, where she specialized in teaching preschool and elementary age dancers. Miss Julie began dancing at the age of three and is trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop and Latin. Among other studios, she trained at the Koresh School of Dance and Broadway Dance Center. And continues to train at the Edge Performing Arts Center and Millennium Dance Complex. She performed with companies such as the Philadelphia Women’s Ensemble, P-Funk, Ritmo Latino, Fortaleza Dancers, and Cutting Edge Entertainment and continues to perform and choreograph with LA Unbound. She also performed in musical theater productions in the Philadelphia area with companies such as the Walnut Street Theater, The Brick Theater, and Plays and Players. She earned a BA in Theater and a Masters in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Teaching dance is her passion and joy and she is grateful and excited to be a part of the Sophie Dance family!
