About Miss Tera

Miss Tera, a native of Connecticut, began dancing at the age of four. She studied intensely for 12 years at New England Dance and Gymnastics Center in Westfield, Massachusetts, Broadway Dance Center in New York City, and Steps in New York City. She began competing in national dance competitions throughout the United States earning such awards as ‘Jr. Miss Dance of the United States’, ‘International Queen of Dance’, and one of the ‘Overall Top Senior Soloists’ at Showstopper National Finals. She developed a passion for choreography and won numerous awards for her work as a choreographer such as ‘Top Choreography Award’ at Onstage America and Starbound, and ‘Top Choreography Finals’ at the United States Tournament of Dance. She studied at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts and the Hartford Stage where she broadened her education in the performing arts and became introduced to the world of theater.

Tera lived in London, while attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, studying classical theater. While in London, she starred in a production of “Hamlet” under the direction of Robin Midgley. She continues to study with the Atlantic Theater Company in Los Angeles, founded by David Mamet and William H. Macy. Tera is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and has earned her B.A. in Creative Writing from Antioch University. She feels proud to be a part of the Sophie Dance team.
